So, grey importing has a loophole... special edition and limited edition cars! Meaning that this Spirit R is looking for an owner that could very well be in the states!

What you're talking about is Show and Display, and it doesn't really work that way. You're only allowed to drive the car ~2500 miles per year and you can only bring it in if you can prove that there were less than 500 of that model produced and that it's historically significant. The NHTSA has a list of what is allowed and not.
